Time to Recycle........

It's time for a brand new challenge over at Polkadoodles and this fortnight we are recycling. Once again I found myself out of my comfort zone but it's good to make you push yourself right? I got myself in a right pickle wondering how I could reuse something as I only really make cards.

I went into my local 99p shop and found this clock....

Then I needed to put my thinking head on. I'd coloured a digi of Piper with my Graph'it Markers (skin, 4125, 4150, 3210,4145, 4135 hair, 1210, 1230, 1270, 1280 tights/top blender, 9100, 9101 pinafore, 7110, 7115, 7119. I just added a littlr bit of sparkle to the lacey hem with a glitter gel pen.) I then used the existing clock face as a template, drew and cut around it making the new clock face. I then made a hole in the centre and re attached the hands & clock mechanism

I used my distress inks on the edges of all papers & doilies and cut different sizes to add interest to the clock frame. The papers and flowers are from the oh so versatile Winston CD Rom its also available as a digital download HERE

I think it's certainly brightened up an otherwise rather dull and boring looking clock. I think I'd pay a bit more than 99p for this one too!!

I'd like to enter my clock in the following challenges.

Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave me a comment I do love to read them.

It's Christmaaaaaas

It's mid challenge time over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and if you're a crafter you're probably well into making your Christmas cards now. I decided to challenge myself by using an everyday image 'Amelia with basket'  and see if I could turn her into something I could use on a Christmas card. I coloured her with my Graph'its (skin, 4115, 4155, 4135, 4170, hair, 1210, 1230, 3110, 4170, tunic, 8250, 8260, 8270, top, 5250, 5270, 5280, jeans, 9100, 9101, 9102, 9103, boots, 9507, 9508, 9509, basket, 3110, 3120, 3140, roses, 8250, 8260, 8270, 5250, blender). The paper, bow and heart are all from the fabulous resourceful Work & Play Festive Hollybobs all I've added from my own crafty stash is a gemstone in the middle of the bow, some glitter glue on the holly berries and some irridescent embossing powder on the heart.

Do pop over and join in the fun!

This is 'Anything But Square'

It's the start of a new challenge over at Polkadoodles and here's my home decor creation.

I've used a variety of goodies from Polkadoodles. The heart is a cutting file from the Picnix 1 CD Rom which covered with backing paper from Pretty Sweet I printed it onto some printable canvas which added a bit of texture then stuck a piece of ribbon/cord from my crafty stash. The digi is the adorable Piper coloured with my Graph'it's (Skin: 4115, 4155, 4170, 4135. Hair: 3210, 3250, 3270, 3290. Dungarees: 9100, 9101, 9102, 9103, 9104. Blouse: 9108, 9107, 9106, 9100  blender.) The flowers are from Nikky's latest collection Winston purely printed, cut out, shaped and layered up.

I'd like to enter into the following challenge/s.

I do hope you pop over and join in with the fun this week. Please feel free to leave me any comments.

How lovely to win this x
