Brrrrrr Winter Blues.

Morning all I wanted to do something a little bit different for my Inky Pinky make this week. So I bought a pack of 5 x 7 canvases and had a little play and this is the result........

I built the background up using acrylic paints, stamps, ink & gesso then stuck on the cute little digi snowman which was coloured using my pencils (body: 01, 50, 49, 48, nose: 09 13, 15, hat/scarf:17, 18, 21, 24, 83, 82, 80, 76, 75, 02) I then thought it'd be cute to have him juggling a few snowflakes.

Floral Dies by Polkadoodles

Wow! I've just had my first play with the new Flowers 1 Die from Polkadoodles OMG they're amazing. They cut with one pass thru my machine I'm in love and I can't wait to increase my collection.

I decided to just cut a few flowers and leaves out on white card and coloured them in with my Lyra Rembtandt pencils (flowers: 07, 08, 09, 13 leaves: 63, 67, 68, 70, 71) I shaped them with a ball tool and soft mat and then layered them up.

I think it's made a rather pretty CAS card. What do you think?

Exciting News

I must share my exciting news with you, my colouring must've progressed as I've been asked to join the design team over at The Pencil Case. I adore using lyra pencils so how could I refuse.

For my first make I've used the fabulous Oddella Heart digi (skin: 32, 90, 87, 82, blush: 29, 31, hair: 84, 83, 82, 80, 76, 75, eyes: 71, 70, 68, clothing: 71, 70, 68, 26, boots: 21, 26, 95, 96, 97, heart/lips: 21, 26)

I used some tartan paper from my crafty stash, made a little 'TUDE tag and added a bow and some gemstones to finish it off.

I love this digi Cielle the Geek from the Fredericka mini collection. I coloured her up with my Graph'its (skin, 4120, 4115, 4155, 4170, blush, 4145, 4135, socks/top, 9303, 9304, 9305, 9307, suit, 4101, 4145, 4135, glasses, 9303, 9304, boots, 1210, 1230, 1270, 1280) and turned her into a tag for my Inky Pinky project this week. Festive Christmas

I made a quick card this week, using the pre coloured images and papers, just adding a bit of sparkle with glitter pens & glitter. You can't have Christmas without a bit of sparkle!

A Pretty Daisy Days DL Card

Morning. I tried colouring on some pearlised card stock this week to make this pretty DL card. Due to the coating it didn't blend too well I found the alcohol ink puddled for a few seconds before evaporating. So I tended to use my lightest colour first then added my darkest then mid tone before going back over with the light. I normally work light to dark or vice versa. Still I was quite happy with the finished result.

I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

It's mid challenge inspiration time over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and although it's an 'Anything Goes' challenge the design team are going along the 'seaside' route. I'm lucky enough to live just a mile and a half from the beach and regularly run along the beach. So used the sand/sea colour scheme for my creation this week. A quick card using one of the pre coloured toppers from Bonbon Belles Collection as well as the papers, border and sentiment.

Hello Sailor

Happy Friday everyone! Thankfully it's a little cooler today. I'm hoping that will make crafting a little more comfortable for me. Today I thought I'd share my Inky Pinky make with you.

I created an 8 x 8 card using a combination of 2 collections. The papers, sentiment and starfish are from Winnie Starfish/Sandcastles and Hello Sailor from the Meribelle Mermaid collection. The digi was coloured with my pencils. I added a pearl to the shell and some sparkle to the mermaid tail. The back ground is created from tearing the driftwood background papers and distressing the edges and just a little bit of clever matting and layering. I absolutely adore the sentiment used.
