Trick or Treat Tag

Morning all. I was thinking what to make for my Inky Pinky DT project today and realised (what with being a bit long in the tooth and having grown up kids) that I hadn't even acknowledged the date so with that in mind, I coloured up one of the mummy digi's from Sundae of Seasons with my Graph'it Markers (skin: 4120, 4115, 4155, hair, 9405, bandages 9400, 9401, 9402, 9403, boots, 9403, 9494, 9405) the embellishments were either from the previously mentioned Sundae of Seasons or the Witchie Witchie 2013 download collection. I triple embossed the pumpkins to glaze them and added some silky purple cord from my crafty stash. I hope you like it x

Pretty Poinsettia

Morning Inky Pinkies how are we all? It's definitely getting chillier isn't it? I'm well on target to complete my Christmas cards this year which is very good for me, I can tell you!

Today I thought I'd share a 5" x 5" tent fold card I made using Stamp Soup Festive Christmas
I'm quite please with how the poinsettia turned out as I think with the shading it looks quite dimensional even though it is completely flat. I just built it up one stamped petal at a time and masking off where I needed to and coloured it in with my Graph'it Markers (5210, 5215, 5220) and added a little bit of Lyra Pencil enhancement (92, 93)

The background was achieved with one sheet of backing paper. The base layer was built up using various stamps randomly over stamping and the torn piece was edged with distress ink and the greetung was heat embossed with a gold embossing powder. A little bit of bakers twine wound around and some seed beads to the centre of the flower et Voila!

Red & Green Christmas

Morning all! Today I thought I'd take a break from card making and create something to make a gift look a bit special. I printed a couple of sheets of the backing paper (onto 300gsm card stock) and created a simple 'sleeve' to slide a box of sweets into then created different layers to decorate.

Most of what I used has come from the Festive Christmas collection some of which I tweaked in my graphics programme before printing off. The gingerbread 'people' were coloured in with my pencils adding a little bling to make them a little more 'festive'. I stamped and embossed the 25th stamp from the Red Red Robin set & added it to the top left corner

Autumn Colouring

Autumn is my favourite season, I just adore the colours of  crispy, crunchy leaves underfoot whilst still feeling relatively warm with the occasional blue sky ~ Bliss

So when the design team at Polkadoodles were asked to use 'Autumn Colours' as their inspiration. I decided to use a colouring page and my pencils. You of course can follow the 'Anything Goes' course if you wish?

Firstly I dragged my chosen image into my graphics programme and added the word Autum to the centre.

Next I used shades of what remind me of Autumn....

Finally I covered my colouring in a double sided sticky sheet and then glittered it. I then trimmed it down to fit in a wooden 5x7 frame which I'd 'Autumned up' too! Apologies for the glare on the finished project x

I do hope you like this weeks creation? Many thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave me a comment. I love to read them!

Recent Polkadoodles Samples

The above Christmas Fairy creation was coloured with my Graph'it Markers.

This cute little bag was decorated up using pre~coloured mages from the Baked With Love collection. I printed the little chap out and copied & pasted him 4 times to create my own decoupage.

Cards don't always have to be fussy. Sometimes CAS will suffice.

This cute little easel card was a fun make and gave me a chance to play with my pencils. I was also able to use my flower dies with the perfectly matched flower sheets on the Winnie Winterland collection.

Hollybobs Mailbox

I'm still in full on Christmas mode. Sorry to those of you that are sick of it but if I'm ever to make a dent in the list of cards that need to be made it needs to be my number one focus at the moment. I had a look through my collections to see what I could colour in for my Inky Pinkies make this week and I decided to create a little scene using Hollybobs Mailbox from the Festive Hollybobs collection,  coloured it in with my Lyra Rembrandt pencils, added snowflakes from the Red, Red Robin Stamp Set and finished the scene off with some of Polkadoodles fabulous new dies.
