Darling Buds Launch

I've had so much fun during the last week helping out with the launch of The Darling Buds by the uber talented Nikky Hall.

First there was Tulip. I coloured her up using my prisma pencils and I used various rubber stamps and coloured inks to create a more 'mixed media' style background.

Then came Daffodil. I don't tend to use a lot of yellow in my colouring so this one challenged me a little bit. I used my Graph'it Markers here.

Then there was Crocus. Now this one was scary for me, yellow and purple together??? Believe me it doesn't happen in my craft bubble but I decided to have a play. I coloured her up using my Lyra Pencils then decided to have a play with my Gansai Tambi water colours for the background. Add a die cut and a few gemstones and I achieved (for me) quite a bold look.

Next came Snowdrop. My new Tattered Lace dies and they fitted around this image perfectly, Out came the prisma's for this little beauty and I did go over the top of the flowers with a Spectrum Sparkle pen but of course the photo doesn't do it justice.
Finally comes the adorable Bluebell. I kept her CAS as she was just so pretty she's coloured with Lyra's too. This collection is just adorable I can't wait to make some more.

Show A Little Love

Happy Friday everyone. I'm here with some mid challenge inspiration for the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog as a DT we are 'showing a little love' but you can enter with anything goes!

For this make I opted for a circular card and used ingredients from Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses download collection. I created my own decoupage using the cute little bird digi which I coloured up with my Lyra pencils (Birds, 71, 70, 68, 65, 02, 83, 82, 80, 007, 008, 009, 095, 096, 097, Large Heart, 29, 28, 27, Small Hearts, 27, 26, 24)

Using A Design Sheet

Morning all. I have a cute little tag to share with you today. Made from one of the design sheets (Design Sheet 1) from Sticks & Bones. The only things added from my crafty stash are the base card stock, distress inks, glossy accents (eyes)  a glitter pen for the flower centres and some raffia. I also shaped the flowers to give them a little more dimension before adhering to my tag.
