Fairy Wings Tutorial
Over on Polkadoodles Blog today is a simple masking technique putting wings on a fairy using the fabulous stamp set Bevvieboo (hmmm wonder why I chose that stamp set? lol). Here's the card I made using the masking technique. Pop over to the Polkadoodles Blog if you'd like to see how I did it! Thanks for stopping by.

My First DT Piece 'Summer Birthday'
Well here it is! My first DT piece for Polkadoodles. The challenge this week is 'Summer Birthday' and the thought going through my head was a lovely long cycle ride in the country. Everything I used on my creation came from the fabulous Cherry blossom Lane

Happy Fathers Day
La Pashe Wrinklies never fail to make me laugh. I normally have a smile on my face from deciding what image to use right until my project is completed. This was no exception lol. when I saw this image I knew exactly 'who' I could use it for!
Happy Fathers Day Dad!
I hope you like your card!
I started off with an 8x8" white, card blank on to which I matted and layered some stripey blue paper onto some grey card and wrapped some blue ribbon around it. I did a print and cut of the 'Grandad Style' digi stamp on my silhouette cameo and also cut a mat slightly bigger in the grey card which I then embossed. I coloured the 'old boy' in with my alcohol markers and inked the edges and added a few gemstones as disco lights. To finish off I cut out the word dad on my silhouette cameo in the grey card and went around the edges with faux stitching added a few foam pads and stuck them too the card.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope all you dads out there are enjoying your day.
I'd like to enter this in card in the following challenge Jelly Park Challenge Masculine

Design Team News
Recently I sent this card as part of an application to be part of the Graph'it design team. The characters name is Billie and she is a digi on the Fredericka cd by Polkadoodles. Currently I only own a few Gi pens so its only her skin and tshirt that is coloured with those, the rest of the image is coloured with pro markers. The backing papers came from a Polkadoodles Paper Pick Pack (try saying that with a mouthful of marbles!) I added a couple of spellbinder borders and coloured my ribbon to match my design. I finished it off with 'Birthday Diva' lettering using Tattered Lace Retro Alphabet die and a few gemstones.
Well unfortunately my application for the Graph'it DT wasn't successful however there was good news as Nikky Hall of Polkadoodles fame asked me to join her design team! How cool is that?
I need to blog more so thought I'd start by sharing this post with you all. Thanks for stopping by.

Kate's Yellow Roses
I've recently made a couple of cards with bizarre subject matter eg: pigeons, fuschia's & bowls (on the one card) which my twitter friend Kate found highly amusing so when it came to the subject of her birthday, I thought I'd ask her what she liked. The response was crafting singing/playing piano and yellow roses.
Armed with that information and knowing we shared a wicked (some may say warped) sense of humour I sat down for a think!
The roses were easy I make them all the time I'm just not a huge fan of yellow so decided to go with that fact. I then decided on a digi stamp from La Pashe she's a little karaoke singer known as Batouttahell from 'The Next Big Thing' CD Rom.
I then decided to be bold with my colouring virtually limiting myself to two colours, yellow and grey although I wasn't going to be cruel enough to give her grey skin lol. I used my Graph'its for her skin and Spectrum Noirs for the rest. A bit of embossing using 'Floral Vine' embossalicious folder on yellow card matted onto some grey pearlised card. Using the same grey card I used my 'Spellbinders 5x7 Detailed Scallops' die decorated the edge with gems and matted my finished image. I was tempted to add a keyboard border but opted for yet a bit more yellow. A few yellow roses et voila!
Happy Birthday @KateRockett you nutter!

Happy Birthday Nikky!
Yes today is the birthday of the very talented Nikky Hall of 'Polkadoodles' fame. So I'd like to take this opportunity to wish her lots of love 'n' luck.
Seriously I hope my card arrived in one piece and not in a screwed up soggy mess but if not here it is again in a 'virtual' version.
What design do you send a designer? Is it an insult to send someone else's image? I have no idea so I sent her one of her own digi's from the Candy Doodles CD Rom coloured in with alcohol markers. I cut it out inked the edges and mounted it on to a spellbinder mat. I finished the topper off with a little raffia bow.
The backing paper comes from polkadoodles Sugar Birdies CD Rom I inked the edges and stuck it on an 8x8 card plank. I then added a bit of inked lace added my topper on foam tape along with a greeting and just to add another bit of texture I added a few wooden 'inked' flowers. Hope she likes it!

Forgive Me Crafters
For I Have Sinned! It's been 3 months since my last post! So I thought it was about time I did something about it. It's not that I haven't made any cards since then, I'm just so addicted to Twitter I end up showing it on there instead. So this time I've been good & saved one!
I printed off the cute image from Polkadoodles Candy Doodles CD Rom and coloured it in with a combination of pro and flex markers. I then cut it out using a spellbinders lacey circle die and inked thru with distress ink. I printed the green backing paper from polkadoodles Sugar Plum Daisy CD Rom and layered it with a smaller square of polkadot embossed card which was inked around the edges. I then added a contrasting piece of ribbon. The greeting is again from Polkadoodles (pen & part circle 3) cut out on a smaller spellbinder lacey circle. A few paper flowers & leaves, et voila!
Worth the wait? I appreciate any comments, good or bad.
