Casing it.....

Good morning. It's taken me a while since Christmas to get back into my crafting so this weeks challenge over at Polkadoodles was perfect for me. I took a little trip over to my fellow teamie's blog's and found a project that I could use as inspiration. So tonight Matthew (for those of you old enough to remember that!) I'm going to be Cheremane.

I used the Guitar Girl image from the incredible new W&P 8 collection she's also available as a digi HERE. I coloured her with my Graph'it Markers (Skin, 4115, 4155, 4170, 4145, 4135, Hair, 1210, 1230, 1270, Bow, 4145, 4135, blender. Dress, 7101, 7105, 7109, blender, Boots, 9500, 9501, 9502, blender, Amp, 9500, 9501, 9502, 9503, 9504, 9505,) Laces & Guitar are coloured using wink of stella pens.

The card base is just cut from Kraft card all the backing paper, bow, embellies and sentiment are from the CD . All I've added from my own crafty stash is embossed pink card. a black glittery peel off, distress ink and a gem.

Thanks so much for stopping by I'd love it if you left me a comment x

Tic, Tac, Toe

Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas?

Over at Polkadoodles this fortnight we're having a game of tic, tac, toe

I opted for the left hand column and I chose the Dottie Goes East CD Rom. It's also available as a digital download here. I used my graphics programme to scaled down and print off two backing papers, on the main sheet I also added my sentiment from the same CD. I ran the first backing sheet through an oriental style embossing folder and inked the edges to make the design pop then matted it onto some black card stock. My top layer was pretty enough I just added a little pink glitter to the middle of the cherry blossom and again matted it onto some black card stock. To make a faux middle layer I used a die cut border which I cut into 4 pieces and attached to the rear of my topper before mounting on foam tape and sticking on my card at a slight angle.

It'd be great if you popped over and joined in the fun!

Secret Santa

This fortnight the DT on Polka Doodles Challenges have all become a "Secret Santa" and we each received a secret message from Santa . Guess who Santa wanted me to make a project for?Whoops, can't tell you but see if you can guess from the clues ...
1] They are a relative newbie on the Polkadoodles Challenge  Design Team
2] They have 2 daughters
3] They are on Team B
Please put your idea of whom you think my "secret Santa" is for in the comments section at the bottom of my post. One lucky winner will receive a digi image over and above the normal challenge prize. A random DT blog will be chosen and then a commentator from that blog will then be picked as the winner of a fab Polka Doodles digi image. So don't forget to visit all the DT and see if you can guess who has made for whom to be in with a chance to win,. All the details you need are on the main Polka Doodles challenge blog. You have up to Thursday 18th December (midnight GMT) to enter and the winners will be announced on Friday 19th December (GMT)

close up .....

I used the Poinsettia Stamp set, stamped it out a few times for the layers and coloured it with my Graph'it Markers glued the layers together and added a bit of glitter glue to the centres. The backing paper is from Work & Play Festive Hollybobs. I added a scalloped, embossed, contrasting semi circle to the top of the card wrapped some festive bakers twine around it and stamped out my greeting onto a tag, inking the edges. I hope my recipient is happy with her card.

A Nordic Christmas

Over at Polkadoodles this week we have a new challenge 'A Nordic Christmas' well the first thing I had to do was 'Google it' lol as I had no idea what it entailed and to to be fair I'm still not sure I got it right but that's the great thing about artistic licence, there is no right or wrong way and is open to interpretation. So here's my creation......

Isn't he cute? Plus he's got legs like me!! He's a digi from the Magical Winter 1 collection and I adore him I coloured him in as usual with my good old Graph'its. The backing paper, sentiment and snowflakes (glittered) are all from the brilliant Work & Play Hollybobs CD.

Feel free to leave me comments I love to read your thoughts on my creations.

Clean & Simple

It's mid challenge inspiration time over on the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog I used the Hollybobs Santa Digistamp, scaled it to the required size in my graphics programme and added my text in the opposite corner. I then coloured the cute little fella up with my Graph'it Markers (1230, 1280skin, 4115, 4155, 4170, 4135, hair, 3210, 3250, 3270, suit, 5250, 5270, 5280,, boots, 9502, 9503, 9504, 9506, sack, holly, 8240, 8260, 8270, beard & fur, 9100 & blender) the presents were coloured in with glitter pens. The topper was just matted onto fractionally larger matching card stock and there you have it a clean and simple Christmas card. I liked them so much I made 15 lol!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I'd love it if you left me a comment.....

Work & Play Samples from Createandcraft.tv

Well what a fab show on createandcraft.tv today with a selection of the wonderful work and play collections from Polkadoodles. I thought I'd share a few of my design team samples with you.

I think my personal favourite is the male texter from W&P7. He's such a cool dude and reminded me of my son, Tom.

The image is a digi and coloured with my Graph'it Markers (skin, 4115, 4155, 4170, 4145, 4135, hair, 3210, 3230, 3245, 3250, suit, 1210, 1230, 1270, shirt, blender, 9500, 9501, 9502, shoes, 3210, 3245, 3250, phone, blender, 9100). The funky backing paper is from the CD (I just inked the edges with my distress inks) as is the sentiment and the super cute mini mobile phone is a cutting file also on the disc. I cut it out on my Cameo and triple embossed it with black, Wow, embossing powder to make it all shiny. Isn't it just adorable?

Thanks for stopping by and do feel free to leave me a comment I always enjoy reading them.

Yee Ha

Happy Birthday Ginni!

Today is my 'old' (ahem) school friend's birthday she's managed the half century mark and to celebrate her husband has organised a bit of a surprise get together and there may well be some 'line dancing' involved hence my card....

The image is by Polkadoodles and is available as a digi or CD. As usual I've coloured her with my beloved Graph'it Markers. The backing paper is also from the CD and I used some gingham ribbon from my crafty stash to make the bow. The gorgeous boot, would you believe is a free cutting file. Fab eh? I really do hope Ginni has a wonderful birthday.

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your comments.
