Use a Die Cut
So its time for a brand new challenge at Polkadoodles and this time we want you to use a die cut. This fortnight I've made a card for my neighbour. Pretty Tuff is a fab resource for male cards. I used my prisma pencils to colour in Dylan, The papers and sentiment are all from the CD. The hb2u lettering is from another fab CD Cherryblossom Lane but coloured in with Graph'its to change the colour. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday
It's inspiration time over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog this week which couldn't have been timed better as I reach a milestone today. If you were my year at school then you will have reached or will be reaching your half century so I made this card for my very dear friend Irena.
It's quite a simple 6x6 card using one of the numbers from the CD, cutting it out with my die & blinging it up with gemstones and making the fizz sparkle with a glitter pen. By using black and white card stock I think it makes quite a dramatic look and when you get to the big five Oh! you're allowed to be dramatic lol.

Romantic Ribbon & Lace
The minute I saw the title for this weeks challenge over at Polkadoodles I knew exactly what collection I would be using! Rose Budd its just so ...... 'Mr Darcy'........ *swoon*
Ive only used the smallest piece of actual lace as I think the spellbinder dies I chose have a lacy effect too and a sweet little bow ribbon.
The digi was coloured with a combination of alcohol markers and pencils. The papers and sentiment are all from the Rose Budd collection too.
You can see the texture on the flowers that is because they were printed onto canvas paper then cut out and layered up they were quite difficult to shape as the fibres in the paper are already broken down so I lifted the petals and shaped them using silicon glue. A cutting file flourish & leaves were glittered up to add a little touch of sparkle. I do hope you like this weeks creation.

All Things Kraft
I've not had the greatest start to 2015 so am currently meeting myself coming back & trying to catch up with various outstanding projects. It's great to get back into crafting and my DT duties with Polkadoodles.
Its inspiration post time over at the Polkdoodles Challenge Blog and this fortnight the subject matter is 'All Things Kraft'. I adore using Kraft card and combining it with the wonderful Winston CD.
I love to distress the kraft papers in this collection, I backed it with an embossed piece of contrasting card and wrapped it around with some rafia. The tag is also in the collection I just nipped it into my graphics programme first to add the text. The bear is coloured with my Graph'it markers (bear, 9405, 9401, 9400, 3210, 3230, 3245, cake, blender, 9100, 3140, 3150, 3180, 3190, hat, 9101, 9102, 9103, 9104, flame, 3130, 1180, outline 7125) and a touch of glitter.

Casing it.....
Good morning. It's taken me a while since Christmas to get back into my crafting so this weeks challenge over at Polkadoodles was perfect for me. I took a little trip over to my fellow teamie's blog's and found a project that I could use as inspiration. So tonight Matthew (for those of you old enough to remember that!) I'm going to be Cheremane.
I used the Guitar Girl image from the incredible new W&P 8 collection she's also available as a digi HERE. I coloured her with my Graph'it Markers (Skin, 4115, 4155, 4170, 4145, 4135, Hair, 1210, 1230, 1270, Bow, 4145, 4135, blender. Dress, 7101, 7105, 7109, blender, Boots, 9500, 9501, 9502, blender, Amp, 9500, 9501, 9502, 9503, 9504, 9505,) Laces & Guitar are coloured using wink of stella pens.
The card base is just cut from Kraft card all the backing paper, bow, embellies and sentiment are from the CD . All I've added from my own crafty stash is embossed pink card. a black glittery peel off, distress ink and a gem.

Tic, Tac, Toe
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas?
Over at Polkadoodles this fortnight we're having a game of tic, tac, toe
I opted for the left hand column and I chose the Dottie Goes East CD Rom. It's also available as a digital download here. I used my graphics programme to scaled down and print off two backing papers, on the main sheet I also added my sentiment from the same CD. I ran the first backing sheet through an oriental style embossing folder and inked the edges to make the design pop then matted it onto some black card stock. My top layer was pretty enough I just added a little pink glitter to the middle of the cherry blossom and again matted it onto some black card stock. To make a faux middle layer I used a die cut border which I cut into 4 pieces and attached to the rear of my topper before mounting on foam tape and sticking on my card at a slight angle.

Secret Santa
This fortnight the DT on Polka Doodles Challenges have all become a "Secret Santa" and we each received a secret message from Santa . Guess who Santa wanted me to make a project for?Whoops, can't tell you but see if you can guess from the clues ...

I used the Poinsettia Stamp set, stamped it out a few times for the layers and coloured it with my Graph'it Markers glued the layers together and added a bit of glitter glue to the centres. The backing paper is from Work & Play Festive Hollybobs. I added a scalloped, embossed, contrasting semi circle to the top of the card wrapped some festive bakers twine around it and stamped out my greeting onto a tag, inking the edges. I hope my recipient is happy with her card.
